After the go go go of all the site seeing in Toronto, things have moved at a slower pace in Michigan.
I’ve been helping Annie with some unpacking, sorting photos, packing boxes to ship to her eldest daughter in California. I found in one box this photo I’d sent Annie in 1992. It is me, my sister and my Aunty. I’ve never been so tanned as I was then, it was after 3 weeks in California at the end of my year of au pairing.

We also had a couple of days where we were looking after two of her grandchildren which was fun…but exhausting. We went to a Cider Mill which is my first time visiting one. We bought some apple cider (it is still and non-alcoholic for UK readers)

We took them to the park and they had a paddle in the stream, Lily practiced riding her bike. We went for ice cream and then played hide and seek and colouring and building blocks back at the house. Its amazing how much energy comes packed inside a 2 and a 6 year old.

I’ve been driven to quite a few ice cream places and doing some research on where the best places are. My photo taking and record keeping has been pretty useless.
Today Annie took me to Shakes at M Street Baking Co. in Twelve Oaks Mall, Novi and I had an Orange Creamsicle. I’d heard about this place from another blogger.

Yum!

Perfect time of the year for apple cider!! One of the many things I love about fall. Michigan is the perfect place to get fresh apple cider. Hope you are having a wonderful time.
